Educational Qualification
- must be a citizen of India.
- must have been continuously practising as an Advocate for not less than seven years as on the last date of receipt of applications, i.e., 10.01.2025.
- must have attained the age of 35 years and have not attained the age of 45 years on the 1st day of January of the year in which the applications for appointment are invited, i.e., on 01.01.2024.
Age Limit
- Minimum 35 years and Maximum 45 years. However, relaxation in upper age limit for categories like SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwBD etc. as per Government guidelines shall be applicable.

(i) Delhi Higher Judicial Service Preliminary Examination (Objective type with 25% negative marking) for selection of candidates for the Mains Examination (Written); and
(ii) Delhi Higher Judicial Service Mains Examination (Written) for selection of candidates for calling for Viva-Voce.
(iii) Viva-Voce.

The fees (non-refundable) in the sum of Rs.2000/- for General Category candidates and Rs.500/- for reserved category candidates [Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Person with Disabilities (identified disabilities) of 40% or more] should be paid through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking/UPI.

About Delhi High Court
The High Court of Delhi was established on 31st October, 1966.
Initially, the High Court of Judicature at Lahore, which was established by a Letters Patent dated 21st March, 1919, exercised jurisdiction over the then provinces of the Punjab and Delhi. This position continued till the Indian Independence Act, 1947 when the dominions of India and Pakistan were created.
The High Courts (Punjab) Order, 1947 established a new High Court for the territory of what was then called the East Punjab with effect from 15th August, 1947. The India (Adaptation of Existing Indian Laws) Order, 1947 provided that any reference in an existing Indian law to the High Court of Judicature at Lahore, be replaced by a reference to the High Court of East Punjab.
